I’m sure everybody loves banana. Banana is easy healthy fruit, you can find it in every supermarket. Ripe  banana is naturally sweet, normally I use banana to make pancake, muffin or smoothie.  I used 100% whole-wheat flour and  honey. You can add-ins like nuts, raisins or other dried fruit. This whole wheat banana bread is perfect to serve with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Whole Wheat Banana Bread


  • 2 ¼ (270g)cup whole-wheat flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ¼ cup (30g) plain yogurt
  • ¼ cup (30g) honey
  • 2 eggs
  • ? cup (40g) oil (canola oil)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • butter for greasing


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F or 175°C and grease the loaf baking tin with butter.
  2. Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl mix mashed bananas with yogurt, honey, eggs, oil, and vanilla.
  4. Fold the banana mixture into the flour mixture until blended.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes or check until it comes clean with a toothpick.
