Tzatziki is a side dish made from yoghurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper. It’s always serve cold and also used as dip or dressing. It’s wonderful to serve it with grilled meat or any kind of dish. The first time I knew Tzatziki was when I ate at Turkish restaurant, it’s always part of the menu, it taste good and I love it.

  • 1 cucumber, peeled, grated and drained
  • 1 cup (250g) Greek yoghurt
  • 1 big garlic, crushed or minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • salt & pepper to taste


  1. Mix together cucumber, yoghurt, garlic and dill.
  2. Stir in olive oil, season with salt and pepper. Combine well.
  3. Chill in refrigerator.
