Strawberry season….! time to make sweet dish with strawberry:-). This time I made strawberry scones for my afternoon tea time. I love scones so much; I’ve posted a lot of scone recipes on this blog such as;

Strawberry scones


  • 1 cup strawberries, washed, hulled, and diced
  • 3 Tablespoons granulated sugar, plus some for sprinkling
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 Tablespoons butter, cubed
  • 2/3 cup cream


  1. Preheat oven 200°C/ 400°F.
  2. Underlined baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle fruit with 1/2 Tablespoon sugar, set aside.
  4. Combine remaining 2 1/2 Tablespoons sugar with flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Add butter, using a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix it in. Stir in fruit, then add cream.
  6. Use a spatula to stir the dough until it mix together.
  7. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times (don't over do), sprinkle with flour if it gets too sticky.
  8. Pat the dough into a 2cm-thick circle and cut into 6 wedges.
  9. Transfer wedges to prepared baking sheet, sprinkle tops with granulated sugar, bake for 17-20 minutes, until tops begin to brown.
