Spaghetti Pesto Sauce

Pasta… love it always for dinner. There are many kind of pasta , such as, fettuccine, gnocchi, lasagna etc.  Spaghetti is always  available on my groceries’s cupboard.  Normally I just boil the spaghetti with salt for about 20 minutes until al dante (or according to cooking instruction), remove the rest of the water and add one tablespoon of butter, it avoid the pasta being sticky.

The next step you need the perfect sauce to mix it into the pasta, last time I’ve posted homemade Parsley Pesto , it would be perfect sauce for spaghetti sauce, for recipe click here. You can also use Basil Pesto.

For garnish, just grate parmesan cheese, roast some pine nuts and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Spaghetti Pesto Sauce was one of my delicious dinner. 🙂 try it!

Spaghetti Pesto Sauce


  • 100g Spaghetti
  • 500ml Water for boiling
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter
  • 100g Parsley pesto
  • For Garnish:
  • 30g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 10g roasted Pine nuts
  • 1 teaspoon chopped Parsley


  1. Boil spaghetti with salt for 20 minutes until al dante (or according to cooking instructions).
  2. Remove the rest of the water.
  3. Add butter, stir.
  4. Add pesto sauce, mix until coated.
  5. Garnish with grated parmesan cheese, roasted pine nuts and chopped parsley.
