Have you tried to make homemade bread before? I did. I made my own sesame seed buns for breakfast. Basically it’s easy to make but took a little time. Raising and kneading the bread takes time but at the end you’ll love the result. Take a look at the picture, cute right?. You can eat this for breakfast or use the buns to make burger.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 100ml warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • --------------------------------
  • 1 beaten egg for egg wash
  • sesame seeds for sprinkles


  1. In a bowl, combine dry ingredients ; flour, salt and sesame seeds.
  2. In another bowl, combine warm milk and fresh yeast, add sugar and butter.
  3. Pour milk mixture into dry ingredients, add beaten egg. Mix with hand into a smooth dough on floured surface. Roll into a single ball, cover with a cloth and let it stand for 1 hour.
  4. After 1 hour, divide the dough into 6 pieces and shape them into round ball, then place them on baking sheet underlined with parchment paper ( or in the mould ) and cover with cloth.
  5. Let the dough prove until it has doubled in volume (about one hour).
  6. Turn the oven 390°F/ 190°C, place the rack in the middle of the oven.
  7. Before baking brush the surface of the bread rolls with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds over them.
  8. Place the baking sheet or mould on the oven rack and bake for about 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool down.
