Peas Coriander Soup

Peas Coriander soup ….. sounding exotic! it was delicious soup that I’ve ever made. Although to be honest, my husband doesn’t like coriander, but I still made ​​this soup :-). You can find fresh coriander  leaves at Asian store, if you don’t have, you can substitute with parsley. The peas that I have used is thawed frozen peas, you can also use dried peas and cook it according to cooking instructions. Enjoy this peas coriander soup at cold night.

Peas Coriander Soup


  • 500g frozen peas, thawed
  • a handful of fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 600ml vegetable broth
  • 150g cream
  • 1-2 tablespoons lime juice
  • salt, pepper, sugar


  1. Peel and chop the onion. Heat oil in a pot, sauté the chopped onion. Add 350g peas. Add vegetable broth, Season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Wash coriander, dry and chop it. Add chopped coriander and cream into the soup. Blend with mixer until smooth.
  3. Add the rest of the peas and continue cooking for 3 minutes. Season with salt, pinch of sugar and lime juice. Garnish with coriander leaf.

    • Hallo Lindsey, thanks for stopping by. Yes, coriander also known as cilantro or Chinese parsley. I love the taste of coriander leaves and seeds, but not everybody love that :-).
