Pear Crumble

There are many types of Pear, I’ve used two types of pear; European Pear and  Nashi pear (known as Asian pear or Apple pear. I’ve made 2 baking dish with 2 different pear, both of them taste good. For topping I’ve made Crumble, made from crunchy buttery almond oatmeal crust. Yummy. Serve it warm and it’s perfect match to serve it with vanilla ice cream. This pear crumble recipe adapted from german cooking website

Pear Crumble


  • Ingredients:
  • 2 Pears
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 40ml warm water
  • For topping:
  • 100g Ground almond
  • 3 tablespoons Oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons melted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • a pinch of Cinnamon
  • Additional:
  • Vanilla Ice cream
  • Almond nuts


  1. Peel, wash, core and slice thin the pears, fill in shallow baking dish.
  2. Mix 2 tablespoons Sugar,1 tablespoon Flour, 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon, 40ml Warm water together. Put it into baking dish until the fruits covered with it.
  3. For the topping: mix well all topping ingredients (oatmeal, almonds, sugar, cinnamon and melted butter). Spread it over the pears.
  4. Preheat oven 200°C.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until the fruit is soft and crispy topping.
  6. Serve while still warm and serve with vanilla ice cream.
