Leek fritters

leek fritters

Small bites is everybody’s favorite, anytime people can enjoy it. I love fritters, normally I made Indonesian fried banana / banana fritters, but this time I want to try something that I never tried before, actually the ingredients were something left on my refrigerator.

To use the whole leek is a lot of portion for me. So, I washed, halved, sliced thin the whole leek and used only 1/3 portion of it (about 100g). If you want to use the whole leek, you have triple the portion of the other ingredients. Then, I soaked slice of bread with hot water (about 1/4 cup water) and mashed it. Prepare a bowl, beat the egg, add bread crumbs, soaked bread, parmesan cheese, the leeks, salt and pepper. Fry with oil until golden brown. This leek fritters are perfect for side dish or as snack.
