Few days ago I posted how to cook dried chickpeas, it’s the basic salad additional for salad or hummus like I’m going to post now. My first met with hummus was, as I worked at hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia.  They provide international foods, such as food from Middle East. Hummus means “chickpeas” in Arabis word, this oriental food is popular around the globe. Hummus is spread or dip made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.

This homemade hummus I’ve used as a spread for my bagel sandwich.
