Tofu is one of my favorite food, it’s healthy vegetarian/vegan food, also known as bean curd. To be honest, I didn’t have any idea, what would I do with the tofu, so I just cut into sticks, deep fried it and made the dipping sauce (mixture of sweet soy sauce, red chili pepper and tomato). It’s so easy and taste good!. Enjoy the fried tofu with chili sweet soy sauce.

Fried tofu with chili sweet soy sauce


  • 500g tofu
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • for sauce:
  • 1/2 cup sweet soy sauce
  • 1 small tomato, chopped
  • 1-2 red chili pepper, sliced


  1. Slice/cut tofu into sticks.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.
  3. Fried tofu until brown (about 6 minutes both sides), strain with sieve, place on a plate underlined with kitchen paper.
  4. Prepare a bowl, combine sweet soy sauce, chopped tomato and sliced chili.
  5. Serve tofu with the sauce.
