Fried Tempeh

fried tempeh

Fried tempeh is one of my favorite food. In Indonesia I ate it almost as daily snack, but since I live in Germany, it’s quite rarely to eat this. First, I have to go to Asian shop and take a look for this delicious food, but sometimes it’s not always there. It’s a luxurious day for me every time I can eat this here:-).

Tempeh is a traditional Indonesian food. It’s fermented soy beans and high in protein. It’s a delicious, low-fat, no cholesterol, gluten-free, high protein alternative to animal products and one of vegan food. For vegetarian people, it’s great food as a meat substitute. Tempeh can be baked, fried and stewed. Check out another tempeh variations that I’ve made: Tempe Cabe Hijau  & Tempe MendoanIt would be perfect to serve fried tempeh with sambal . Try this one; Tomato chili sauce & Shrimp paste chili sauce.
