crockpot kidney beans tomatoYesterday, I’ve made this crockpot kidney beans tomato. On winter, I always cooked something warm. This dish took a long time to cook but at the end, you won’t regret it. I like to eat beans or legumes, it’s healthy and taste good if you mix it with other ingredients, for example; I’ve also made Rice beluga lentils with cauliflower sauceIf you take a look at the picture, I’ve made this picture by putting the bowl on snow, to let you know that now it’s about -9°Celcius in Hannover-Germany. The snow keeps falling now… it 🙂

Crockpot Kidney Bean Tomato


  • 200g kidney beans
  • 1Liter vegetable broth
  • 400g Tomato sauce (from a can)
  • 3 onion, peeled, chopped
  • 2 garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


  1. Soak kidney bean over night with water, wash and rinse.
  2. Place kidney beans, vegetable broth, onion, garlic and spices into crockpot.
  3. Cook for 2-3 hours until the beans soft. Stir and add water as needed for the right consistency.
  4. Serve warm.
