Crispy fried mozzarella with tomato salsa for appetizer, I think I’ll eat this often after I’ve made this recipe few days ago. I had 2 pieces mozzarella in my refrigerator and normally I used mozzarella as salad like; Tomato, mozzarella, basil salad. This time I made something I never made before..to fry it, it’s so crispy like fried chicken, because I used Panko (flaky bread crumbs), you can find this at Asia store.
I cut the mozzarella from the sides into half, so that becomes round flat form. Then I coated it with flour, whisked egg, bread crumbs. After that I fried it. You can deep-fried it, but on this recipe I used about 1 cup of canola oil and fried it on each side. This crispy fried mozzarella perfect to serve with yummy tomato salsa.
