Weekend time…it’s time to make cake for coffee time. Today’s recipe is clementine chocolate cake. This cake is flourless, I used almond flour to make this. The ingredients are very easy to find and I’m sure you had all ingredients at home.

  • 2 clementines
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups ground almond
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • garnish : powdered sugar and clementine zest


  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
  2. Wash clementines, grated the skin (zest) for garnish, peel it and blend until smooth.
  3. Blend pureed clementines with remaining ingredients, except garnish ingredients to the blender. Pulse a few times until the mixture is well combined.
  4. Grease a loaf pan with butter and dust with cocoa powder.
  5. Pour the cake batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool down, garnish with powdered sugar and clementine zest
