Chicken wonton cups as appetizer. This kind of small bites is always perfect to serve when your friends come to visit you or just as appetizer before you eat your dinner. Basically is quite simple to make, the main ingredients only wonton wrappers, ground chicken, scallions and cream cheese.

I used muffin tin to make this, so the form is like a cups. First line the wonton into muffin tin, bake for few minutes. Sauté the chicken mixture, fill into the wontons. Bake until crispy and serve with dips you like, such as; salsa or sweet and sour sauce.

Chicken Wonton Cups


  • 24-30 wonton wrappers
  • 400g ground chicken
  • 50g cream cheese
  • 3 stalks spring onion / scallions, sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil


  1. Preheat oven 350°F / 180°C.
  2. Grease muffin tin with oil, line with one wonton wrap in each muffin cup.
  3. Bake for 5 minutes, so that the wonton a little bit half-crisp.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, sauté ground chicken with sliced scallions for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir cream cheese into ground chicken until mixed well.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Fill in the mixture into each wonton wrap.
  8. Bake for for 8-10 minutes.
  9. Serve with any dips you like such as; salsa or sweet sour chili sauce.
