Chicken liver with potato or known as Sambal goreng ati is traditional Indonesian food , it’s made from chicken liver or beef liver, cook together with dice potatoes and seasoning with spices, especially chili. It is not only eaten at special event like Idul Fitri but also as daily menu, in Germany it’s not top people’s shopping list, it’s overlooked as an undesirable part. Most of them don’t like it.
Chicken livers are high in protein and vitamins, it’s good choice for anyone who suffer anemia, but pregnant women suggested not to eat liver. In Indonesia, normally it is also cook with Petai or known as stink bean, I didn’t use it because I don’t like it. I got the recipe from my mother, since I’m not specialist of indonesian food, I’m trying my best to cook it, that’s why I always ask her for recipes.
