To be honest, I’m not a fan of broccoli, but somehow I have to eat this veggie into my menu. That’s why I’m always trying to find how to cook broccoli but didn’t taste the bitterness of it. To combine broccoli with parmesan cheese was great idea. I’ve made broccoli parmesan fritters served with yellow rice. It was the best homemade lunch ever.

Broccoli Parmesan Fritters


  • 250g (2 1/2cups) broccoli florets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion , chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • Pinch of nutmeg powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying 


  1. Steam or boil the broccoli until fork-tender. Chop broccoli into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine chopped broccoli with eggs, bread crumbs, Parmesan, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, chili powder and nutmeg powder. Mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet or pan. Drop 2 tablespoons of broccoli mixture into hot oil, flattening with a spatula. Cook both sides until crispy.
  4. Serve warm.
