Beluga lentil rice burger patties


For you who is vegetarian, you’ll love this beluga lentil rice burger patties. Actually the cooked rice and boiled lentils are left over, I combined it with onion, garlic, egg, some spices and baked it. You can eat it just like that, but if you want to make mini burger, you need recipe for Sesame Seed BunsAfter that you can add any veggie you like into your burger. I added lettuce, tomato and Tzatziki into my burger. If you don’t have beluga lentils in stock, you can also use black beans.



Beluga lentil rice burger patties


  • 1 cup cooked beluga lentils
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 red onion, chopped, sautéed with 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 5 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • --------------------------
  • Olive oil or coconut oil for frying


  1. Prepare a big bowl, mix all ingredients, combine well (I used my hand - wearing gloves).
  2. Keep the mixture in refrigerator for 15 minutes. Wet your hand, form about 3 tablespoons of the mixture a patty.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, fry the patties both sides with medium heat until crispy.
