Baked French Toast

I made this baked french toast for breakfast, I had some toast bread that will expire soon, so I decided to make this. I used greased baking dish, slice cubed the toast bread and pour with mixture of egg, milk, cream and cinnamon. Top with grated cheese and butter. Bake and serve warm. Perfect for your breakfast :-).

Baked French Toast
  • 4 toast bread, cubed
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • pinch of nutmeg powder
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil for greasing
  1. Grease baking dish with oil.
  2. In a bowl, beat together eggs, cream, milk, sugar, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg.
  3. Place cubed bread pieces into the prepared baking dish, pour the egg mixture until the bread soaked with the liquid. Sprinkle with grated cheese and pat of butter.
  4. Bake at 350˚F /180°C for 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown
  5. Remove french toast bake from oven. Serve warm.
