Baby Bear Pumpkin with Custard

Another pumpkin recipe today, baby bear pumpkin with custard (garlic & cream cheese). Few days ago I posted Sweet Dumpling Squash with Marjoram and Honey, basically it’s the same method of cooking, I just filled the pumpkin with custard, it’s made from cream, milk and egg yolk. I added some minced garlic and grated parmesan cheese, season with salt and pepper. Easy and delicious.

Baby Bear Pumpkin with Custard

Ingredients:

  • 1 baby bear pumpkin
  • Custard Ingredients:
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 50ml milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 50g parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Cut the top of the pumpkin, remove the seeds.
  2. Mix all custard ingredients, set aside.
  3. Put pumpkin on baking sheets, add water into baking sheet (about 1/4 of the baking sheet).
  4. Bake pumpkin 180°C for 20 minutes. Pour the custard-mixture into the pumpkin, continue baking for about 20 minutes.
  5. Ready to serve.
