Avocado Soy Yogurt Dressing

In Germany, many people try to be a vegetarian or even vegan, especially the young people. There are a lot of vegan cookbooks everywhere in book stores. I’ve bought about 5 of the books…and there’ll be a new book every week. To be honest, it’s quite hard for me to be a vegan, I still eat meat or poultry dishes and I still use a lot of dairy product into my daily meal. I ate meat/poultry at least once a week and I try to eat more vegetables, fruits and legumes.

This avocado soy yogurt dressing is inspired by one of vegan cookbook that I’ve bought. As you know, as vegan, they substitute yogurt with soy yogurt. I combined this dressing into my salad mixture (you can see below; mixture of lettuce,tomato and sunflower seeds). I hope you like this vegan avocado soy yogurt dressing.

Avocado Soy Yogurt Dressing


  • 1 ripe large avocado, mashed
  • 1/2 cup soy yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (1 teaspoon minced garlic)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • a pinch of sugar


  1. Prepare a bowl, combine all ingredients until smooth (you can use food processor or with a fork).
  2. Serve immediately. Keep in refrigerator if you not directly use it.
